In 2025 we fulfilled many goals and dreams. It was a year in which we confirmed that precision microbiome solutions are no longer just a promise, but a real tool to transform animal productivity and welfare.
We would like to share some of the key milestones that defined this journey and how they prepare us to start 2026 with even more research, more collaboration, and many dreams still to pursue.
1. Launching exports to Brazil
One of the most meaningful achievements was the launch of exports to Brazil.
Bringing our probiotic consortia to one of the world’s most important livestock markets validates the scientific and technological foundation we have been building.
This step opens the door to new integrations in both intensive and pasture-based systems, where microbiome modulation is essential to improve feed efficiency, gut health, and overall productivity.
2. International fairs and the 2nd Animal Microbiome Symposium
In 2025 we also strengthened our presence in high-level technical arenas:
- We participated in international fairs, sharing results on precision microbiomes, gut health, and antibiotic reduction strategies.
- We held our 2nd Animal Microbiome Symposium, with guests from Brazil and the Netherlands, consolidating it as a meeting point for applied science, industry, and academia.
These spaces allow us to discuss, with data, topics such as rumen fermentation, mucosal integrity, pathogen control, and precision nutrition strategies for multiple species.
3. Progress in European projects with slow-growing broilers
Another key milestone was the progress made in European projects with slow-growing broilers, focused on:
- Optimizing the use of alternative dietary ingredients
- Reducing dependency on traditional soybean and grain sources
- Improving welfare and performance through tailored probiotic consortia
These developments show how microbial biotechnology can contribute to more sustainable production systems, aligned with the new expectations of consumers, regulators, and value chains.
4. Over 25 scientific outreach pieces
Alongside lab and field work, we strengthened our commitment to scientific communication.
By the end of 2025 we had produced more than 25 outreach pieces, including:
- Technical articles
- White papers
- Blog posts
- Podcast episodes
This content covers topics such as swine, poultry, and ruminant microbiota, consortial probiotics, in vitro gastrointestinal models, and real-world experiences with producers and strategic partners.
5. First clinical case in pets with gastrointestinal simulation
One of the most special achievements was our first clinical case in pets, supported by a gastrointestinal simulation model.
By combining dietary adjustment and probiotic supplementation, we achieved a significant improvement in the patient’s clinical condition, demonstrating that the logic of precision microbiome interventions can also be applied to companion animals.
6. New academic and innovation partnerships
Finally, 2025 was a key year to consolidate and expand academic and innovation partnerships:
- In Colombia, working closely with universities and research centers on microbiota, immunology, and precision nutrition projects.
- At the Biotech Campus Delft, where we strengthened capabilities in bioprocessing, fermentation, and technological scaling.
This collaborative ecosystem, which includes partners such as Planet.Bio and other strategic allies, allows us to accelerate validation of new technologies and bring robust solutions to the field.
Looking ahead to 2026
With all these milestones, we enter 2026 with a clear conviction: the combination of science, biotechnology, and collaboration is the path to transform animal nutrition in a sustainable, profitable, and evidence-based way.
New studies, deeper integration with producers, more data generated in both field and lab, and many opportunities lie ahead to keep proving that change begins in the microbiome.
