Livestock productions must implement conditions that promote good health status, without sacrificing profitability. There are alternatives that allow it by impacting zootechnical parameters, without raising production costs. One of the most common alternatives is the use of antibiotics as animal growth promoters.
In Colombia there are regulations about the use of these in livestock production, so here is a summary of what they are and what they consist of:
